Trello is a well-known project management and communication platform for teams.

It allows you to easily organize teams, tasks, and workflows by simply dragging and dropping cards across the boards.

A Trello board is basically a set of lists with cards attached to them (Board -> Lists -> Cards). You can very easily drag and drop cards from one list to another by clicking them. So a board is a straightforward, visual representation of what needs to be accomplished by you and your team members.

In a nutshell, boards are an important part of Trello project management software, where all your content will be placed.

How to Create a Board on Trello

Step 1: Log into your Trello account and click the + button at the top right-hand corner of your screen.

Step 2: You will have to select “Create Board” option from the drop-down menu that appears.

Step 3: You need to give a name to the board and then create “Create board” button given below.

Please note that until a new board can be formed, it must be given a name and assigned to a Workspace. You can give your new board a name and have to choose the Workspace for which it should be linked.

If you’re creating a new board or copying an existing one, then you will need to link it to a Workspace. You will have the option of using an existing Workspace or creating a new Workspace for the board.

Organizing the boards into Workspaces makes it easier for you to communicate with other Workspace members as all the content within the space is shared.

Step 4: Your new board in the Trello account has been created. Now you can add lists and under lists you can add cards.

You will also have the option to invite other team members to your board, or to your Workspace, or both.
