How to Schedule an Email in Gmail on Desktop, Android, and iOS

It’s quite obvious that you may find yourself in situations where you have to send an email in Gmail but you don’t want it to be sent immediately.

You may want the draft to be sent automatically at a particular time which you can decide. In April 2019, Google announced that Gmail would natively support email scheduling, and within a month, the feature was made available on desktop and mobile.

Previously, users were compelled to use a third-party add-on for this sort of basic scheduling. Now, however, the feature offered by Gmail is perfectly easy to use and consists of a range of applications for scheduling professional and personal messages.

Suppose you’re trying to talk to someone in a different time zone, want the email to be sent at a time you’ll be busy with something, or it’s just that you want an email in the future to remind yourself of something.

This feature comes in really handy for all such requirements.

The “Schedule Send” feature of Gmail ensures that your emails can be sent on their own, and at a time that you can decide. The feature is available for both desktop and smartphone users, and it lets you schedule up to 100 emails at a time.

To add to this, Gmail also lets you change the scheduled time and date after it has been scheduled. You can also cancel a scheduled email according to your preference. Once you cancel a scheduled email, it is saved as a draft.

Let’s take a look at how you can use this feature on various operating systems.
